First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit Extension?

With the tax credit deadline fast approaching, the tax credit is almost out of reach. The inventory of available homes is dwindling and we are left with the over-priced properties. Any new buyers may as well forget about good deals that can be found with foreclosures or short sales because they take too long. There is barely enough time to find a home and get financing in our area. If you’ve planned on buying and taking advantage, you better act now.

There is talk about extending the stimulus plan through next year. I feel that the market is being helped by this “cash for houses” plan and to see it go will also see a downturn in the housing market and economy. With 400,000 new buyers this year thanks to this stimulus, it’s going to be sad to see it go.

There is no official word on an extension or new tax credit for next year. There may not be and as the Realtor commercial states, you are going to be kicking yourself if you don’t act now.

$8,000 First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit - Will it be going to $15,000???

Will the flood gates open for home sales? Through some news reports such as Bloomberg and other media outlets, those lawmakers in Congress are looking to change up the current $8,000 first time homebuyers tax credit that ends on November 31st, 2009. The new bill was introduced on June 10th, 2009, but pending. This could be some good news for more than just first time homebuyers. But I have a different opinion on just the basics, from raising the tax credit from $8,000 to $15,000. But what are the changes that are being talked about?

New proposed Tax Credit changes ....

The tax credit of $8,000 would be raised to $15,000
They would take away the income restrictions. The current income caps are : Single - $75,000 and Joint return - $150,000.
Making this available to anyone, even if you aren't a first time homebuyer.
Extending this for 1 year after the new bill becomes active.

New to Blogging...Am I doing this right?

I just attended a class to learn how to blog. I mean the typing of a blog is not that difficult, it's just getting it to post in the search engines. I am a real estate agent, or REALTOR specializing in the Wise County and North Texas area. My office is located in Decatur. I represent buyers and sellers in either Commercial, residential, land, foreclosures, short sales, distressed properties, new construction, etc.
The class was very helpful. The instructor was great. He kept my attention. Here's the thing though, I understood what he was saying and even took notes. Now that I am in front of the computer, I must admit that I am getting a little lost. There are like a million different sites to go to and then you have to link everything back to each other. So going from one thing to another like, facebook, twitter, myspace, blogger, RSS feeds, etc, I have like 10 different windows open! LOL!
My question to you is, am I doing this right???!!! I guess if you are reading this and then linked by to my site, I am.
